Our quiz measures your position across three independent axes—economic, social, and governmental—giving you a multidimensional portrait of your political identity rather than a single label.
The economic axis ranges from free-market capitalism to regulated economies, asking whether you believe businesses and individuals should operate with minimal government interference or whether markets need oversight to protect workers, consumers, and the environment. The social axis spans social liberalism to social conservatism, measuring your views on personal freedom, traditional values, and cultural change. The governmental axis tracks your preference for small, limited government versus a larger, more active government that provides services and regulates society.
Each of the fifteen statements in the quiz carries weighted scores for all three axes. When you indicate your level of agreement on a seven-point scale—from completely disagree to completely agree—your response shifts your position on each axis accordingly. A statement you completely agree with moves you further in its direction than one you only somewhat agree with. After all fifteen statements, your scores are normalized to a range of negative one hundred to positive one hundred on each axis, and an ideology label is assigned based on the combination of your three scores.
